C&J's Candy Store & Scoop Shoppe is a family-owned business in the heart of historic downtown Menomonie that is dedicated to spreading a little sweetness wherever we can. We work with suppliers from around the world to bring you amazing sweets, snacks, and drinks that you can't find anywhere else!

We are proud to offer nostalgic favorites, international sweets and snacks, and super premium Wisconsin-made Chocolate Shoppe Ice cream!

We started as C&J's Candy Store in 2020 when we agreed with a local business owner that Menomonie could use a candy store. We wanted to spread joy by bringing out the kid in everyone. 

We started small- just the size of two offices. Right from the beginning, it's been so rewarding to see kids of all ages come in and find their favorites and try new things too! We've been happy to help people learn about other places and cultures through some of their comfort foods.

With the support of our customers and community, we have grown to fill the entire space! We added our ice cream Scoop Shoppe in 2021, after several customer requests.

Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream Company began in 1962, when Chuck Sr. and Nancy Deadman decided to open their very own candy and ice cream shop. Their vision was to provide the community with a bit of happiness by serving homemade candy and ice cream. They held the philosophy that quality lies at the heart of every marvelous treat shop, and with this, Chuck Sr., master researcher, tinkerer and perfectionist, set out on a mission of making the best ice cream he could.
